Manage your team
Invite teammates to your company, assign roles, and manage ownership — shared access to your fleet with no per-seat cost.
A CentralHost company can have as many members as you like. Invite teammates so they can work on the same fleet — view servers, run the AI Assistant, open terminals — under one shared account. Team members are free and unlimited; billing is per server slot and AI usage, never per person.
Who can manage the team
Inviting people, changing roles, and removing members is limited to administrators and owners. Everyone else can see the team but not change it.
Roles
When you invite someone — or change a member’s role later — you pick one of three roles:
- Administrator — full access to the company, plus the ability to manage the team (invite, remove, change roles).
- Editor — a working member of the company.
- Read-only — best for stakeholders who only need visibility.
On top of roles, one or more members are owners. The owner is the ultimate authority on the account: only owners can transfer ownership, add and remove other owners, and manage billing (server slots and AI credits). An owner is always an administrator, and a company always keeps at least one owner.
Note: Team management is restricted to administrators and owners, and billing to owners only. Finer per-section limits for the Editor and Read-only roles are rolling out — until then, treat the role mainly as an indication of intended access level.
Invite a teammate
- Open the user menu (your avatar, top-right) and choose Team.
- Click Invite member.
- Enter the teammate’s email, an optional name, and pick a role.
- Click Send invitation.
They receive an email with a secure link. What happens when they open it depends on whether they already have a CentralHost account:
- New to CentralHost — they choose a password and their account is created and added to your company in one step. No separate email verification is needed; the invitation itself confirms the address.
- Existing user — they simply accept, and your company is added to the ones they can switch between.
Invitation links are single-use and expire after 7 days.
Manage members
From Team, each member row has an actions menu:
- Change role — pick a new role from the dropdown next to a member.
- Remove — revoke a member’s access to the company. (Owners can’t be removed directly — revoke their ownership first.)
- Leave team — remove yourself if you no longer need access.
Ownership
Owners have extra actions on other members:
- Make co-owner — promote a member to owner so ownership is shared. Co-owners are always administrators.
- Transfer ownership — hand the account over to another member. They become an owner; you keep administrator access but step back from ownership.
- Revoke ownership / Step down as owner — remove the owner flag from a co-owner (or yourself). The last remaining owner can’t be revoked, so the account always has someone in charge.
Pending invitations
Invitations that haven’t been accepted yet appear under Pending invitations (visible to administrators and owners). For each one you can:
- Resend — send a fresh link, e.g. if the original expired or was missed.
- Cancel invitation — withdraw it so the link no longer works.
Frequently asked
- How much does adding people cost? Nothing. Members are free and unlimited.
- Can someone belong to more than one company? Yes. Accepting an invitation adds the company to their account; they switch between companies in the app.
- A teammate didn’t get the email. Check spam, confirm the address, then use Resend. The link expires after 7 days.
